May 13, 1992
7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Lake Oswego City Hall
I. ROLL CALL
The May 13, 1992 meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. Members attending were Lew
Thompson, Judy McGinty, Susan Spears, Sharon Lofflemacher, Ron Tempe, and Joe
Collins.
II. MINUTES
Minutes from April 15, 1992 were approved.
III. OPEN PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS
A. Oral Commnucation
There was no oral communication.
• B. Written Communication
Enclosed is Written Communication from Robert Budihas on Lakeview Boulevard.
IV. OLD BUSINESS
A. Overlook Drive - preliminary plans were presented and were, as previously discussed,
approved. The contracts on Overlook and Iron Mountain must be awarded by June 30th,
1992.
B. Iron Mountain - will have an 8 foot wide path most of the way. This project may be
done in conjunction with the road overlay. There will be an island at the corner of
Chandler and Iron Mountain.
C. Neighbers are satisfied with both Iron Mountain and Over-look plans so there will not
be any appeals.
D. Upper Drive - pathway has been appealed by Mr. Robert Budihas of 2950 Lakeview
Boulevard. It would cost approximately $50,000 to complete the Lakeview pathway from
Southshore Drive to Twin Fir.
E. Stafford - the Pathway Committee recommends a pathway on the Golf Course side, 8
feet wide, detached as much as possible, and connected with the side walk at the gas
station.

• F. South Shore - Committee recommends an 8 feet wide pathway, detached if possible
on the lake side of South Shore.
Also, the Committee would like to see the bridges widened or have cantilevered side
additions for pedestrians (if cost effective); and integrate the pathway with the
development of Overlook Park. The Hearings Body is to meet Thursday, May 21st, on
Stafford.
G. Hallinan Neighborhood Association proposal for an access trail to George Rogers Park:
Committee recommends "Let the neighbors do the work with support from City staff as
needed. Also, allocate $1,000 for materials."
H. There was no financial report.
I. Central Avenue street vacation request by Ken Bakke -Committee "recommends that
no vacation be granted." Judy McGinty will send a letter to the Clackamas County
Commis- sioners with reasons for the Committee recommendation.
V. OLD BUSINSS
A. Design Partnership wanted to design signs for the pathway. The design work looks
good but due to the money shortage we will save this for later consideration.
B. The Willamette River Loop representatives will be Judy McGinty, Sharon Loffelmacher,
• and Susan Spears.
C. Hearings Body meeting on May 21, 1992.
Minutes of this meeting to be included within minutes of the PAC meeting.
D. Next Pathway Meeting to be June 17th at 7:00 p.m.
VI. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting was adjourned at 9:10 p.m.
