LAKE OSWEGO PATHWAY ADVISORY COMMITTEE
January 11, 1995
I. ROLL CALL
The meeting was called to order by chairperson Lew Thompson. Members
present were Jeff Romeo and Lynnette Weigand. Joe Collins attended as City
staff representative.
H. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The minutes of the December 7, 1994 meeting were approved as submitted.
III. OPEN PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS
A. Bill Atherton, new member of the City Council, let LOPATHS know that he is
considering studying Systems Development Charges (SDC). The City would
collect the SDC as part of developing land in Lake Oswego. A portion of the
SDC could be applied to completing and developing pathways of community
interest. He would like to target areas within one mile of schools.
• B. The City received a Pedestrian Safety Citation by AAA for having no traffic
fatalities in 1993.
IV. OLD BUSINESS
A. Financial Report/Pathway Costs:
West Lake Grove Loon: Engineering costs from KPFF estimated to be $28,500.
The City Council approved it on January 3, 1995.

Other: No additional charges on any pathways.
B. Pathways Development Status
Kerr/Botticelli/Fosbere: Pathway is in its final stages and may be completed by
end of January if weather cooperates. Approximately 40 street trees will be
planted on Botticelli for a fee not to exceed $3,000, and City will spend$1,200 on
trees on Kerr.
Inner Drive/Lakeview: Final paving to be completed when weather allows.

Design schedule: KPFF should have something by the end of January.
Second Public Meeting: Meeting set for Thursday, February 2, 1995 at 7:00 p.m.
in the Municipal Court Room. A preliminary agenda was reviewed and approved.
D. Lake Oswego Pathway Guide Draft
Lew handed out a draft for members to review.
V. NEW BUSINESS
A. Schedule Next Meeting- date to be determined.
February 8, 1995 meeting may be canceled since LOPATHS members will be
attending the public meeting on February 2, 1995.
VI. MEETING ADJOURNED AT 8:05 P.M.
