Subject: RE: Dr. Tom Cook's Field Report
Pete,
We met with Tom Cook to discuss the field report a few weeks ago. Due
to his class commitments at OSU he is unable to start this project until
after school is finished in mid June. Therefore, I expect a report from
him in late June/early July.
Our normal field maintenance program often includes hiring
subcontractors to do various tasks for us that we either don't have the
equipment or man power to do on our own. Within the past few weeks the
city has hired contractors to aerate Westlake fields and perform some
drill and fill at Bryant Elementary (Tom also agreed that this was a
good idea) .
I am anxious to see Tom's maintenance recommendations so that we can
compare those to what we are already doing. I'm sure he'll have some
suggestions that will require additional funding. If so, we will need to
discuss this with City Council to see if they are willing to increase
funding to cover these expenses. However, until Tom's report is issued,
we are continuing our regular maintenance program.
I hope that answers your questions.
Kim

Kim:
Thank you for replying to my earlier Email regarding Dr. Cook's proposed
review agenda.
Is it possible to get an update not only on the status of Dr. Cook's
Report
but also the status of any ongoing efforts, i.e. Design, Construction,
Maintenance (both by the City, School District, and outside
contractors/subcontractors) ? For example: I understand that the
Vertidrain
Process is being or was used at Westlake-what are your thoughts and
possible
future efforts.
Thank again: Pete Ebert
