Gary explained an insurance claim filed by Jackie Wu where an errant hardball broke a skylight
in her home. This was a result of a foul ball from field 1 at Westlake Park. Possible solutions
were discussed with netting on the 3`d base side as the best approach to preventing future
incidents.
Gary announced the bid opening for improvements proposed at Westridge and Lake Grove
fields on the morning of July 9. Considerable discussion followed with concerns about the
specifications and whether they included any of Tom Cook's field recommendations after his
inspection of the Lake Oswego fields. Both Pete Ebert and Gene Mildren will follow up with
Bob Kincaid on Tuesday morning (July 9).
Jim Joyce, who did not attend the meeting, may fillthe Reggie Schindler resignation for
Lakeridge Youth Football.
Gene Mildren led a discussion about the creation of a Task Force to include City staff and
TSAC members to look into the City process that leads to oversights in the field construction,
design ,and inspection process. He referenced the deep tyne work at Westlake as an example.
