STEERING COMMITTEE
Meeting
August 31, 1999
I. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at approximately 10:10 AM on Tuesday,August 31,
1999, in the Council Work Room of City Hall, by Chair Ken Sandblast.
II. ROLL CALL
Committee members present were Chair Ken Sandblast, Cathy Shroyer, Laurie Hilliard
and Mary Ellen White. Staff present was Jane Heisler, Project Planner, City of Lake
Oswego Planning Department.
III. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The minutes of the May 4, 1999 meeting were approved as modified.
IV. REVIEW LATEST PLAN DRAFT AND OTHER DISCUSSION ITEMS
• The Steering Committee had met prior to meeting with staff and had several changes to
the latest draft Plan. The introduction, Goal 2 and Goal 12, Transportation had several
changes.
The Committee discussed the eventual neighborhood boundaries that would be
appropriate when it requests recognition as a City recognized neighborhood association.
A map will be included in the Draft Plan regarding these proposed boundaries.
It was decided that a neighborhood wide mailing of the draft Plan should take place.
VII. SET NEXT MEETING
It was decided that staff would make the proposed Plan changes and then the committee
would reconvene to discuss the format of the brochure and schedule and plan for the
Open House.
VIII. ADJOURN
Chair Sandblast adjourned the meeting at approximately 12:00 PM.
