I was out canvassing my Palisades neighborhood to ask homeowners to sign our petition to save the golf course for golf and locate the Aquatic Center in another location that wouldn't impact taking away from the golf course and cause traffic congestion on Stafford Rd. as well as people cutting through the Palisades neighborhood. Twenty of the thirty residents didn't know of this plan. • I don't know if you have done due diligence in regards to houses that back up to Stafford as well as those houses that back up to the golf course down by Lakeridge High School. • Have all residents been notified about the possible building of this structure (Rosemont Road, Bergis) And the changes on Stafford. • From the survey as to what to use the $30m bond money for I would have assumed you would have had a plan prior to asking for the money instead of asking a few LO residents what they wanted after the fact. This is a great deal of money and it might behoove the city to take care of what they have before they go out and build a new structure which will need money to sustain. • There are a lot of empty classrooms after school that could be used for P&R events (yoga, dancing, exercise etc. as well as utilizing the adult community center, maintenance bldg.. —they don't need to all be in one location. Rebuild the existing swimming pool. I have taken classes in the ACC, Lakeridge HS, Palisades, Lakewood Ctr. And none of the classes were overflowing. Before you jump make sure you have everything answered; don't do it just so the School Dist. can get the$7m. Kathy Stromvig, Palisades Neighborhood 17023 Crestview Dr.
