MO School-Senior Week
WHEREAS, Lakeridge and Lake Oswego High School seniors have helped create an award-
winning school district; and
WHEREAS, Lake Oswego schools and their students are a valued and integral part of the greater
community; and
WHEREAS, the requirement to maintain social distancing due to the spread of the novel
coronavirus has resulted in the prohibition of large group gatherings; and
WHEREAS, distancing restrictions have impacted the ability of students, their families, and their
school community to come together to celebrate the graduation of high school seniors as
previously scheduled on May 28, 2020 for Lake Oswego High School and on May 29, 2020 for
Lakeridge High School,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the Lake Oswego City Council, proclaim the week
of May 25, 2020 as High School Seniors Week and call upon the people of the City of Lake
Oswego to recognize and participate in this special week-long observance.
