Dear Planning Commissioners,
I am writing to express support for code changes as proposed by City staff to allow for seasonal restaurant
enclosures that follow certain design guidelines. I was glad to have been a part of the initial discussions the
City had with the community regarding this proposal and am pleased to see the thoughtful approach taken in
crafting these amendments. Specifically, I appreciate the ability to provide flexibility to small enclosures while
ensuring all enclosures follow design standards in keeping with a high-level finished look.
Given both the high quality of these enclosures and their temporary nature it may not be an option many
businesses pursue, however,providing the option gives important flexibility to local operations often needing to
adjust to changing conditions.
Thank you for your consideration of the important details that comprise the proposed amendments and for
your support of these updates to our city code.
