City Council Briefing Minutes - ,- --.
25 July 1994
Mayor Schlenker called the City Council briefing to order at 7:30 a.m. Present
were: Mayor Schlenker,Councilors,Holstein,Anderson,Kiamrner and Puskas.
Councilor Chrisman was excused.
The Council discussed the following items:
1. LORA-there is no August meeting.
2. Downtown Redevelopment
a) no decision on Freedman
b) Doug Schmitz to distribute 16 July,1993 minutes
3. Lake Oswego School District Field Lights: -
a) agreed to contribute$24,506
b) negotiate with the Lake Oswego School District for other uses
of fields
4. Utility Committee Report: Councilor Holstein: the council needs to
consider the rates in November.
5. Stafford Area:
a) Mayor Schlenker reported on 21 July meeting:
Metro says it won't be movingthe Urban Growth Boundary in
Lake Oswego area.
Send letter to Metro and surrounding agencies reaffirming
City's previous positions.
6. FOCUS: Mayor Schlenker reported on FOCUS meeting held
Thursday,21 July
7. Anderson memo of 18 July:
a) City Council reacts to all issues,missing big goal issues
b) appointment of City Council committees
c) should agenda be established by City Council?
d) have a half day meeting
e) Anderson memo to agenda on Monday, 1 August
f) schedule half day meeting for City Council and a second half
day meeting for LORA
At 8:35 the Council met in Executive Session pursuant to ORS 192.660

(1) (e) real property
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:50 a.m. •
