Hi all,
Here is that medium cities list I referred to on the detached duplex issue. Obviously LO is subject to the
"large city" standards, but it gives you an idea of where other cities are on that and a couple other
questions.

Subject: RE: Middle Housing Code Advisory Committee Meeting#3 [CONFIRMED]
Hello again MHCAC Members,
Below are links to additional resources and information that may be useful for folks as we continue our
MHCAC discussions. These are materials that were either requested by Committee members or are
related to topics under consideration by the MHCAC:
• MHCAC Meeting 3 Zoom Poll Questions &Answer Options. These are slightly different than the
questions in the Key Issues Memos, and have been crafted to facilitate helpful discussion at the
meeting. Note that you are now able to see the answer options in advance of the meeting as
well.
• Folder with substantive email communications either from MHCAC members or relevant to
topics being discussed by the MHCAC.
• Division 46 Rulemaking Fiscal and Housing Impact Statements, produced for DLCD by EcoNW.
This has a lot of useful information on the potential impacts of middle housing development.
• House Bill 2001 FAQ document from DLCD, last updated on August 16, 2021. Answers to many
questions that may pop up in our heads as we continue our discussions.
• Senate Bill 458 Guidance document. This provides helpful information regarding the details of
the recently-passed SB 458 legislation allowing expedited land divisions for middle housing.
• Three (3) maps for Self-Guided Tours of examples of existing middle housing in Lake Oswego,
attached below:
• The purpose of the tour is for orientation to some of the building types only. It is not a survey.
• Note that we intentionally did not provide photos because we felt it was more important that
members experience these examples on their own. Of course, you can always do your own
Google street viewing if you like.
• Please utilize the LO Maps web tool if you'd like to learn more about other aspects of these
properties.
Please let me know if you have any follow-up questions or thoughts,
