First, with the lot line adjustment it would seem like a good opportunity for the wetland portion be given to the city and added into Waluga Park. This would be roughly the entire eastern lot shown on the current maps. This area is currently attached to the proposed house at the end of the flag. The future owners could fence this off which would impact the local wildlife or even worse, determine that the trees are impacting their landscape plan and remove them.As part of the park it would be better managed. Second, I would propose that the sewer line path that passes through the park (Appendix C) be covered with the wood chips created by the 43 trees being removed. Neighbors for years have asked about a back pathway into the park. Once the sewer line has been installed, this would be the perfect opportunity to create this path. Thank you.
