All councilmen were present. Letter.':from Ur:Powelson regarding license•for,plumbers and assist- ing for inspection was ordered :filed. No action was taken on the .School Board request for sand to be taken from the-City--Park;-'it was,. however; the feeling of the Council that they should look fork Land elsewhere. The question of culvert from alley on B" in front of postoffice and Al. Hughes' service station,' was.referred to the, Sewer Committee. Council agreed that culvert from*lst to Claude Smith's building on B should be laid as soon as possible. ' Johnny Illo and.Rocky appeared in,behalf of Chamber'of Commerce regarding licenses and asked purpose for.the..licensing. After ' discussion, the matter was referred to the license committee to-* meet'with their committee. It was..agreed that Mr.Hinson assist in'checking of building plans to be given a trial. Mrs.Rdna Bickner proposal to sell to the City the water tower which is located on 1st & B for $100.00, was referred to the' Water Department. •- Joe Nemec asked for tools to be used in shop and was•told to make. list of what is needed and have Recorder obtain prices. .Recorder was requested to,write Richar.ds'Service'Statidn asking them to obtain permit for the, building now under constru.ct,i•on.' Recorder was requested to write Bike 'Corp o:ration` callirig .atfen-tion' ' to North Shore Bridge and approaches, whicri constitute :'•traffic .hazard. Bills presented to the Finance Committee were approved. On MOTiCON. by Councilman Inkster, seconded. ,by Councilman Worth - in , bills were :allowed .and .warrants. ordered drawn t.o" ;cover. All councilmen voted Yes. Councilman Worthington.asked about Hemlock St., which the County proposed to fix as per agreement; `also about the -old -county road bridge to be repaired.
