These requirements are in addition to the already-established Floodplain Management Area permits administered by the City in accordance with the NFIP. • These new requirements will ensure that all development within the LA F- floodplain will comply with the ESA. CLOMR - F and LOMR - F Requests • FEMA is delaying CLOMR-F requests until the Final Implementation Plan is released (anticipated by 2026) . • Per 7/ 15/2024 letter, effective 8/ 1 /2024. • Could delay City projects, including the new WWTP . • Staff is coordinating with the agencies to evaluate options and minimize schedule impacts . 1-AIT \V —� O `' °REc°i' � Respect. Staff • Notify FEMA that we are proceeding on Option 1 "model ordinance", and, • Proceed with proposed code amendments consistent with the FEMA model ordinance for consideration by the Planning Commission and the City Council, with a schedule that would allow the effective date of code amendments to be prior to January 31, 2025 .
