Communications Plan = communications and engagement road map
tailored to a specific project, policy, or topic
Each plan should include:

Current SSFS Communication Goals
The objectives and goals of the SSFS communication:
•Inform and educate the community on the conditions of the South Shore Fire Station
•Inform the community on the Task Force process and recommendations to address
the Station’s conditions
•Increase community understanding how the SSFS relates to City and community
public safety goals, including future needs
•Grow public awareness of the potential SSFS Project and grow community support
•Inspire key community leaders to proactively champion on behalf of the project
•Maintain ongoing communications and transparency with adjacent neighbors,
neighborhood, and other interested parties/stakeholders
•Monitor community response

•Policy Makers/Elected Officials (City Council, Boards & Commissions)

future, we need to rebuild the
station –how will we finance the
rebuild

•Proposed bond package
Intent: gauge the community on
how to fund SSFS
Need for station and funding has
