• Business conducted from a residential unit
• Business license required
• About 570 operating in Lake Oswego

Issues Discussed at Previous Study Session
• Concepts for replacing existing standard that is not clear or objective
with measurable, clear standards
• Survey sent to home occupation owners
• Addition of new agricultural use
• Expansion of farm stands to new zones

Outdoor Activity
• Two options for how to handle outdoor activity based on feedback
from PC and Council
• Option 1: Limited Outdoor Activity — permits small instructional
classes (PC)
• No more than 2 sessions per day or 6 per week
• Hours limited to 9:OOa — 7:OOp
• Not permitted on public holidays
• Option 2: No Outdoor Activity (Council)

Urban Agriculture and Farm Stands
• Expand farm stands to all residential zones (currently only permitted
in certain commercial zones)
• Create new use called urban agriculture
• Permitted in R-10 and R-15 (lowest density) residential zones
• Would allow both crop production and sales
• Property must be at least one acre in size
• Agricultural use also limited in size
• Limits on hours and number of clients permitted at once
• Conditional use process if proposal doesn't meet prescribed standards
