The Lake Oswego City Council will hold its annual goal setting retreat on Saturday, February 21,2026 beginning at 9 a.m.
in Council Chambers at City Hall. In preparation,the City Council would like to hear from the community.
Please take a few minutes before 5 p.m.on February 12,2026 to share your input. Comments will be shared with the City
Council before their retreat.

What would you like to see the City Council consider in their 2026 goal setting session?*
Given what is happening in Minneasota, I would like to understand how we can protect our community from ICE
and federal overreach.Currently the leaders in national and state seats are not doing enough to prevent what is
happening,and I've heard that starting local is the better route. I appreciate that LO has continued its DEI
initiatives but as a minority, born and raised in the US, I am genuinely concerned,overwhelmed,and shocked
that there is not more widespread rage over how this administration in DC and ICE has been hurting minority
communities over the last year. I'm not sure what action needs to be taken,or if I am making any sense in my
grief, but I hope the council can take my input into consideration.This also applies to helping our surrounding
communities in the Portland metro area.After all, Lake Oswego is not a vacuum and based on how much I pay
in property taxes, I'm sure we have the necessary resources.
