The Lake Oswego City Council will hold its annual goal setting retreat on Saturday, February 21,2026 beginning at 9 a.m.
in Council Chambers at City Hall. In preparation,the City Council would like to hear from the community.
Please take a few minutes before 5 p.m.on February 12,2026 to share your input. Comments will be shared with the City
Council before their retreat.

What would you like to see the City Council consider in their 2026 goal setting session?*
I would like to see Lake Oswego have fiberoptic cable throughout the city--all residential and commercial
neighborhoods and for our public buildings such as City Hall,schools and fire stations. I don't know if fiberoptic
is presently available in any parts of LO, but it is not in my neighborhood. I understand much of the City of
Portland now has this excellent technology. In the past, it gradually became essential as a citizen to have first
electricity and then a phone line.Today few of us have landline phones but instead everyone now needs a
reliable internet connection. It has become an essential part of modern life. From what I have read,fiberoptic
cable would enhance this significantly. I am not an expert on the subject but would be willing to be part of a
committee that researches the options,timeline and costs.Thank you.
