The Lake Oswego City Council will hold its annual goal setting retreat on Saturday, February 21,2026 beginning at 9 a.m.
in Council Chambers at City Hall. In preparation,the City Council would like to hear from the community.
Please take a few minutes before 5 p.m.on February 12,2026 to share your input. Comments will be shared with the City
Council before their retreat.

What would you like to see the City Council consider in their 2026 goal setting session?*
I would really love to see changes in the regulations concerning the landscaping that developers put in with new
construction or remodeling. I see way too many invasive plants like easy care laurels,arborvitae,or even non-
native trees that displace natives and do nothing to support our environment. It would be so simple to provide a
list of plants that could be used in the landscape,or maybe more importantly,what cannot be used.As more
available space is gobbled up with new construction(and native trees removed), it is more important than ever to
do what we can to support our local ecology.Thank you!
