The Lake Oswego City Council will hold its annual goal setting retreat on Saturday, February 21,2026 beginning at 9 a.m.
in Council Chambers at City Hall. In preparation,the City Council would like to hear from the community.
Please take a few minutes before 5 p.m.on February 12,2026 to share your input. Comments will be shared with the City
Council before their retreat.

What would you like to see the City Council consider in their 2026 goal setting session?*
1. Please continue to develop the operational plan, potential code options,enforcement and communications
strategy to phase out and eliminate the use of gas-powered landscaping equipment in Lake Oswego.This policy
should go into effect by the first quarter of 2027.
The sooner we transition to this healthier landscaping practice,the sooner residents,visitors, landscape
workers, pets and wildlife will all experience the positive benefits.And the sooner we will reduce and lessen the
impact that the use of gas-powered landscaping equipment has on climate.
2. Please develop capacity for Level 1 EV charging in multi-family residences.As a first step, conduct a needs
assessment that includes the number of multi-family housing units,electrical capacity,and parking capacity.
Research examples of technology and electrical contractors.
3. Please define sustainability goals for the Foothills redevelopment with the following priorities:clean energy:
evaluate opportunities such as leveraging the wastewater treatment plant,solar,ground source geothermal and
opportunities for electrification;consider water re-use from the wastewater treatment plan; include EV
infrastructure, pedestrian and bike friendly pathways and access to public transportation;and include diverse
high-density housing, iand affordable residential options.
