The Lake Oswego City Council will hold its annual goal setting retreat on Saturday, February 21,2026 beginning at 9 a.m.
in Council Chambers at City Hall. In preparation,the City Council would like to hear from the community.
Please take a few minutes before 5 p.m.on February 12,2026 to share your input. Comments will be shared with the City
Council before their retreat.

What would you like to see the City Council consider in their 2026 goal setting session?*
I would like the City to completely stop any more development or new projects. It appears you folks are on a
spending spree since 2007 especially with the new Council Members. Property taxes, utilities,cost of living and
maintenance of our homes are getting extremely challenging for folks in the middle and lower middle income.
And your constant bond, bond, bond!.You all are geared towards a comfortable life for the LO wealthy.A golf
course is not a necessity for a small city like ours. It is a fact that mainly wealthy rich folks are the ones who
benefit from this.Why don't you convert that piece of land for development of low income homes??Of course
you won't. It is obvious where the true sentiments are of this community. Build on maintenance of the roads-not
making new pavements for walking when hardly anyone walks there considering the cost of these projects. ROI
is negligible.
Look at the money you spent on the renovating the library. It is pretty to look at internally but the acoustic is bad
and the parking miserable.Why don't you payoff or paydown the large bond taken on the seismic water tunnels
and reduce our monthly water bills. It is atrocious! Focus your energy on savings instead of spend,spend,
spend!Whatever money saved use it for the next beneficial project or save it for our reserves. One never know
when the economy will turn sour.Than you put people in a bind.Think people.Think. Did you forget words like
thrift,save, live simply.Appears you are making this a city for the ultra rich only and for them to benefit. Live with
the beauty of what we have and maintain it. NO more projects! Please do not disregard this and show you care
for the working class people too.
