The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bill Gerber at
7 :35 p.m.
Chairman Gerber introduced Lem Nelson and Carl Halverson of
Mt. Park, who explained their plans regarding Commercial
Areas in Mt. Park. They have three types of Commercial Areas-
Small Medium and Large.
Small; 1± acre:. on the West Side. 2± acre on the
North Side. 11 acre in the middle presently
being used as office etc. Several special
use areas , pre school, tennis club, church
areas, fire station etc.
Medium; The Market Place and 13 acres across the street
for a shopping center - office complex, of
approximately 100,000 Sq.Ft.
Large; The Town Center in the middle of the project ,
which is some 35 acres in size. It will have
some 340,000 ± Sq.Ft. , for retail - specialty
shops , 161 , 000 ± Sq.Ft. of office space, 450 .
Apts 1 -2-3 bedrooms and a Major Motel 150 to
250 beds, which they hope will have a regional
draw.
Both the 13 acre Market Place and 35 acre Town Center are
schedule to be started next year (summer 1977) They hope
to have the projects completed 4 years after starting.
The C of C hopes to have a preliminary report for our
committee by April 8th. F.A.N. Hopes to have more
input into the committee by April 1st.
The assumptions used in Bob Fuchs data report were re-
viewed and will be discussed next meeting in more detail.
The chairman asked that each member review them prior to
the meeting.
The chairman reported the Task Force Committeewill meet
March 29th.
