Motion passed unanimously, ORDINANCE NO. 1037 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 1023 PROVIDING BUILDING RESTRICTIONS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY -,was forwarded• to the Community Planning Committee for study and recommendation. The City Recorder was directed to post the ordinance. It will appear on the Council agenda of ' October13, 1964. The water supply bids were opened. The following bids were submitted: , Water Works Supply Co. $2227.70 " Meter Box Equipment Co, 1923.23 Utilities Supply Co. 23n2.06% Consolidated Supply Co. 2622.2:i Pacific Water Works Supply Co. 2484..44 The bids were referred to the Assistant-Superintendent of Public Works and the City Engineer for study and recommendation. Resolution'calling for a special election to consider the fluoridation measure was read by the City Attorney. Dr. Arleigh Dodson stated that he objected 1/ to the ballot title. It did not reflect the intent of the petitions circulated. Mrs. Robert Watkins and Dr. William Creighton also objected to the ballot title. -Consideration of the resolution was postponed until the next meeting ,,: to allow the City Attorney to determine whether the Council must act on this % initiative petition. ,.
